Through ritualistic styling, these visuals portray a feminine figure surrendering herself to industry forces. What begins as self-expression and a desire to create beauty gradually devolves into a corporate race to become the next “it-girl”. Co-created with Anisha Patil, this project reimagines “highest-self” worship, usually heralded as self-empowerment and spiritual encouragement, as a site of self-abandonment and capitalistic exploitation.
